Slightly unhappy with my mistakes on the previous organizer, I decided to make another one. I didn’t have any beech left, so this one I made of alder, which is substantially softer (softer than pine) which posed new challenges. This time I used a white hard wax oil as finish.
In the end it turned out better than the last one, but I’m still not quite happy with how the box joints turned out, with the visible tear-out. So, more practice to do!
