Toy Storage

I had a sheet of semi-nice pine plywood, so I figured I could use it to re-create an IKEA model for toy storage. It’s surprisingly tricky to get everything perfectly square with a track saw, so a framing square came in handy. For cutting the grooves I used my router table with a 16mm straight bit.

For final assembly, I used my biscuit joiner + glue. As a last minute change I decided to mount the bottom face piece 5mm recessed instead of flush with the sides as shown in the sketchup plan below. In the end it looked slightly less boxy this way.
